At New Liturgical Movement, Peter Kwasniewski has made available the Latin text of St. Francis Borgia’s Litany of the Summa Theologiae, as presented in a 1983 edition. He presented a portion of the Litany—the Litany of the Attributes of God—earlier this month, translated into English. We encourage you to check out at least the English portion. Certainly, if you have sufficiently good Latin—and the Latin is not particularly daunting—you ought to check out the full Latin text. A very sharp friend of ours observed that Tu qui es, miserere nobis (from the Litany of the Attributes of God) is a wonderful prayer, and we’re constrained to agree. And there are numerous other wonderful prayers in Borgia’s work.
